Prologue Released in the Liberal, Kansas Newspaper

I am the Fox Plaza.

I am a creation of steel, stone, plaster, tile and cement.

I am not endowed with life, but each beam and stone that went into my building was dedicated to the purpose of making life fuller and more complete for the people of Liberal.

The men who fashioned me labored to create a shrine of entertainment to which all Liberal can make a joyful pilgrimage.

Within these walls you will be wafted away on a magic carpet to the fairyland of fancy.  The world of man and women will parade before your eyes.  The scroll of history will unroll beneath your eyes.

I am the Fox Plaza.

Men of science have given me a voice.

I can speak.

While you are my guest you will hear the voices of the world's great men and women.  You will hear the aras of immortal operas.  The tingling tunes of the masters of Jazz.  The foolishness of the world's clowns.  The fine, full voice of the greatest stars of the stage.

I am the Fox Plaza.

I am here to bring new delights to your eyes, new sensations to your ears, new joys to your life.

I come to take my place with the other institutions of which Liberal is justly proud.

I am the Fox Plaza.

I AM YOURS.
