Opera House
Currently under restoration and preservation, the Opera House opened in January 1882. The stately red brick structure with a tall four faced clock tower was a bustling site for community gatherings. In January 1898, almost 16 years after the day it opened its doors, the Opera House was ravaged by a disastrous fire. After the renovation, the Opera House has seen a wide diversity in use, such as a movie theater. In 1982 the theater closed its doors. Today the Junction City Opera House Foundation invites you to join us in the preservation and restoration of this grand structure.
